The Pride of Vishwakarmas:
Jagjit Singh, the famous Indian Ghazal singer, songwriter and musician was a Viswakarma. Singh's 1987 album, Beyond Time, was the first digitally recorded release in India.

Pothuluri Veerabrahmam, the Hindu mystic from Andhra Pradesh state in India, author of Kalagnanam & Atmagnanam (17th century).

Adi Shankara was one of the most revered Hindu philosopher and theologians. He was the first in the tradition to consolidate the siddhanta (doctrine) of Advaita Vedanta.

Ajay Devgan, the actor, director, and producer belongs to the Viswakarma community. He received the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for his performance in Phool Aur Kaante in 1991.

M. K. Thyagaraja Bhagavathar (1910 - 1950), the Tamil actor, producer and Carnatic singer is a Viswakarma. He was awarded a "Diwan Bahadur" by the Governor of Madras. He is best known for his films Pavalakkodi and Haridas.
